Primary Learning
Our teaching and learning programs provide our students with opportunities to transfer their knowledge to new situations and apply these skills to real life situations. Core subjects are taught by class teachers, while specialist teachers deliver the curriculum in Hebrew, Jewish Studies, Music, Art, Drama, Physical Education, Library and Innovation. A range of camps and excursions provide opportunities for experiential learning off campus.
The use of technology is an integral part of daily life. iPads and laptops allow students to showcase their thinking, create a range of written and multimedia texts, complete coding or design projects and to collaborate with others. Technology usage is balanced alongside learning within the curriculum that utilises various other equipment and materials.
The K-6 Curriculum
The K-6 curriculum includes the Key Learning Areas of English, Mathematics, Science and Technology, HSIE (History, Geography), Creative Arts (Music, Visual Art, Drama and Dance), and Personal Development, Health and Physical Education (PDHPE). The development of a strong Jewish identity is an essential aspect of education at Emanuel School and as such, our curriculum includes Hebrew and Jewish Studies lessons from K-6.

The use of technology is also an integral part of daily life at Emanuel, with interactive whiteboards, iPads, laptops and a wide range of technologies used purposefully in the classroom.
Primary School Jewish Life
The development of a strong Jewish identity is an essential aspect of education at Emanuel School. Jewish values, identity and culture are explored through the power of Jewish stories, songs and dramatic expression. As they move from the younger years, students delve into key historical events and experiences that shape Jewish identity.
Primary Extra-Curricular
Emanuel School's Primary’s Extra-Curricular Program consists of over 30 vibrant clubs, offering students the chance to explore their interests, discover new talents, and forge meaningful connections.
Each club has a unique platform for creativity, critical thinking, and hands-on experiences. From Chess and Debating to Drama and Robotics, there is something for everyone to enjoy and learn.
